Tsakos Energy Navigation moves to offload its oldest VLCC

Tsakos Energy Navigation has put its oldest VLCC, one of three in its fleet, up for sale with brokers circulating the 1998-built Millennium at a price of around $18.7m.

The vessel is for sale in Malaysia, and described as “good for storage or scrap” by brokers Offshore Solutions Unlimited.

The 301,171 dwt tanker was built by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries and far older than the other two vessels in the Tsakos VLCC fleet, the 2016-built Ulysses and 2017-built Hercules 1.
