Tsakos Energy Navigation seals three-year charters for suezmax pair

Greek tanker owner Tsakos Energy Navigation has chartered an additional two suezmaxes to an unnamed US oil major, bringing the total number of vessels on charter with the client to six.

The deal marks the expansion of a long-term strategic alliance thats sees the charters contain profit sharing arrangements.

George Saroglou, chief operating officer of Tsakos Energy Navigation, commented: “We are pleased that these new charters not only solidify the company’s cash generating ability and visibility, but also emphasize the fleet’s competitive advantage when seeking to secure charters with high quality oil concerns.”

The new charters are scheduled to commence early September upon completion of each vessel’s current employment.
