Two ships collide off Macau

Guangzhou: Early yesterday morning, two Chinese cargo ships collided off the Pearl river delta. One ship sank and up to 11 people are missing.

The two merchant ships, Huayun 2, owned by Shanghai Shipping Industry, and Shenganda 7, owned by Guangxi Guiqin Shipping, collided off Macau’s east coast and Shenganda 7 sank, according to the information from the Guangdong sea rescue centre.

Six crew members of Shenganda 7 had been rescued, the others are still missing with full accident details still under investigation. [11/02/14]
