U-Ming solid on cement prospects

Taipei: Taiwan’s U-Ming Marine Transport is moving to rejuvenate its ageing cement carrier fleet.

The dry bulk owner, owned by Douglas Hsu and listed in Taipei, said in a release it intends to build to order two cement carriers.

U-Ming’s five cement carriers have an average age of 26 and range from 6,000 dwt to 12,000 dwt.
