Ugland Shipping picks up two ultramax resales

Norway’s Ugland Shipping has announced the signing of two resale contracts for ultramaxes to add to its orderbook.

The first resale contract is with Japanese yard Sanoyas Shipbuilding for a 60,500 dwt bulk carrier which is scheduled for delivery in 2020. The vessel will be a sister vessel to recently delivered ultramaxes Olita and Belita.

Ugland has also signed a resale contract with Tsuneishi Cebu for a TESS-64 type bulk carrier, with delivery set for the second half of 2019.

The two vessels add to a newbuilding on order at Imabari, making a total of three newbuildings set for delivery to Ugland during 2019 and 2020. The company said it plans to sell at least one of its oldest bulkers before deliveries commence.
