UK yard worker crushed to death by faulty lift

A UK shipyard worker died yesterday while working on repairs to a ferry. The accident happened at Falmouth docks in Cornwall when Steve Summerside, 45, was crushed by a servicing lift. He was working on the Irish Ferries controlled 51,000 gt Ulysses which was in for an annual refit.

Local police are investigating the accident.
