Ulstein secures contract from Wagenborg

Norway’s Ulstein Group has secured a six-year contract from Wagenborg Offshore for its PSV  Blue Queen to support Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) and Shell UK with their offshore operations on the Southern North Sea.

Wagenborg Offshore will operate the vessel as a standby and support vessel for inspection and maintenance of the unmanned platforms in both Dutch and British waters.

The vessel is currently being converted from a PSV into a walk-to-work emergency response and rescue vessel (W2W ERRV) at Ulstein’s Dutch shipyard Royal Niestern Sander.

The conversion process will take 16 weeks and the vessel is expected to be delivered to Waenborg in March 2018.
