Ultra Deep Solutions seals long-term contract for newbuild DSCV

Singapore subsea specialist Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) has announce the signing a long-term contract with an unnamed EPC company for newbuild dive support construction vessel Ultra Deep Matisse.

Ultra Deep Matisse is under construction at China Merchants Heavy Industries and will be delivered to the clients in the second quarter of 2020.

Shel Hutton, CEO of Ultra Deep Solutions, commented: “We at UDS would like to thank all involved in this large contract signing for the Matisse. It show’s once again the quality of vessels that Ultra Deep Solutions are building to bring to the market for our end clients.”

The contract is described by the company as large, which puts it in the region of $50m to $250m.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
