Ultra Deep Solutions in for well intervention vessel at CMHI

Singapore’s Ultra Deep Solutions has signed an LOI with China Merchants Heavy Industry for a SALT 310 well intervention vessel.

The vessel will be equipped with the first Huisman multiple state of the art well intervention, flexible lay and rigid pipe tower ever designed and will have the first hydrogen saturation system designed to dive depths of 650 msw.

Shel Hutton, CEO of Ultra Deep Solutions, commented: “I would truly like to thank multiple parties. First CMHI for believing in UDS. Also SALT and Huisman for their ongoing creative support. Plus FTE, JFD, Fathom Systems and DNV-GL all for their amazing designs and patience. The future will thrive on technology. At Ultra Deep Solutions we will continue to work to great depths that we only dreamed of years ago.”

Last week, Ultra Deep Solutions sealed a five-year charter with Malaysia’s Red Tech Offshore for its newbuild diving support construction vessel Van Gogh.
