Singapore: Uni-Asia Holdings has formed a new joint venture in Panama with Japan’s Yamasa called Quest Bulkship to order a new handysize ship.
Uni-Asia has a 20% stake and Yamasa the remainder. Uni-Asia is Singapore-listed, but run by Japanese management. It is expected to order the handysize at a Japanese yard next week.
Uni-Asia has three more handysizes to deliver from Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding between 2014 and 2016. [24/03/13]
