Unisea declares options on aframax tanker order

Greece’s Unisea Shipping has exercised its option to add two further aframax tankers to its two-vessel order with Samsung Heavy Industries, according to brokers’ reports.

The shipowner, led by Adam Lemos, ordered two 113,000-dwt aframaxes at the South Korean yard in early March for an undisclosed sum.

All four vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2017. Online platform VesselsValue.com estimates the market value of each newbuilding to be $60.42m.
