USCG search for crewman missing from Chilean cargo ship

US Coast Guard (USCG) rescue teams are searching the Atlantic Ocean near Puerto Rico for a man thought to have gone overboard from a Chilean cargo ship, according to the Associated Press.

A cutter, two helicopters and an aircraft from various east coast Air Stations were involved in the operation to find Luis Leyva Aliaga, a first engineer on the 252-foot Berkay N which was en route from Gibraltar to Cuba.

USCG became involved after Berkay N radioed a report that the crewman did not report for his scheduled watch and could not be found on board.
