V.Group acquires Selandia Ship Management

V.Group has announced the acquisition of Indian ship manager Selandia as part of its strategy to grow its offering to clients in Asia.

Selandia Ship Management, which focuses on the tanker sector, will continue to operate as an independent ship management brand within the V.Group portfolio.

Clive Richardson, CEO and president of V.Group, commented: “By joining our portfolio of ship management businesses, we are able to offer Selandia Ship Management Group’s existing clients significant economies of scale and enhanced global responsiveness. For V.Group, this acquisition represents a great opportunity for us to continue to lead on our technical and crew management operations in India – particularly the tanker sector, where there is high demand for specialist skills.”

V.Group says it now has the largest ship management fulfillment capability from India and the widest access to Indian seafarers.
