V.Group takes full control of Dania Ship Management

UK-based shipmanagement and services giant V.Group has taken full control of Dania Ship Management, after acquiring a 60% stake from its joint venture partner, MOL Nordic Tankers.

Mikkjal Poulsen, CEO of Dania Ship Management, confirmed to Splash that the deal had been completed.

Nordic Tankers and V.Group jointly set up Dania Ship Management in 2017 with a focus on chemical tankers and other specialised vessels. Later in the year, Dania formed a partnership with Clipper Fleet Management to extend its capabilities into the dry cargo sector.

In January this year, Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) took over Nordic Tankers and has since started an integration process of the company.
