V.Ships awarded management contract by Mingsheng Financial Leasing

V.Ships has been awarded its first technical shipmanagement contract in Shanghai’s Free Trade Zone.

The world’s largest shipmanager has sealed a deal with Minsheng Financial Leasing for the technical management of four 64,000 dwt ultramax bulkers currently under construction at China Shipping Industry in Jiangsu.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery over the next year.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
