Velesto scores Shell jackup contract

Velesto Energy, formerly UMW Oil & Gas, has been awarded a contract by Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company for the provision of jackup drilling rig services.

The company has assigned 2015-built NAGA 7 for the project with commencement tentatively set for August or September.

The contract value is around $25m

Last month, Valesto was awarded a $31.04m 11-well contract by Roc Oil.
