Van Oord brought in to bolster business at Tanjung Perak port

Jakarta: State run port operator PT Indonesia Port Corporation (IPC) III via its subsidiary, PT Pelindo Marine Service (PMS), has set up a joint venture with Dutch dredging firm Van Oord. The new company, PT Alur Pelayaran Barat Surabaya (APBS) will focus on developing Tanjung Perak port in Surabaya with PMS holding 60% of the shares in the firm and Van Oord the rest.

Van Oord has plenty of ongoing contracts across Indonesia and was involved in the construction of Tanjung Perak port.  [21/01/14]
