Van Oord wins dredging contract at Taiwan’s largest port

Van Oord has won a 130m Euro ($144.5m) contract from Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) for dredging at Kaohsiung Intercontinental Container Center Phase II at Taiwan’s largest port.

The company will dredge and reclaim some 37m cubic metres of sand to extend the Kaohsiung Port site, located on the South China Sea.

Preparations for undertaking the contract have already begun, Van Oord says. The project is set to be completed in January 2018.
