Vantage Drilling gets jackup extension from CPOC

Vantage Drilling jackup rig Aquamarine Driller has been awarded a nine-month extension by Carigali-PTTEP Operating Company (CPOC) for operations in Malaysia and Thailand.

Alisdair Semple, director of marketing for Vantage Drilling, commented: “This rig continues to be one of the best performing jackups in South East Asia delivering efficient drilling operations and completing wells ahead of schedule and under budget.”

The 2009-built rig is contracted with CPOC through to the first quarter of 2018.
