Vessels stranded in Suez Canal for four hours

Cairo: Shipping sources from the Suez Canal Authority said that navigation within the waterway is back to normal, after a four hour disruption due to the stranding of four vessels in the northern sector of the canal.

Navigation returned to normal after locomotives succeeded in floating the four vessels.

The incident in the canal started when the Dominican Republic flagged Vessel (Vazr S), which was carrying a cargo weight of 140 tons, stranded due to a water leakage into the vessel. [14/10/13]
