Victor Restis offloads tanker pair

Victor Restis’s Enterprises Shipping & Trading (EST) continues its busy start to the year.

Broker records show that it has just has offloaded two 54,000 dwt tankers for $13.6 m each. The two ships were both built in 2004 and are named Energy Pride and Energy Protector. The price obtained for the ships appear firm according to data from online portal VesselsValue.com which sets the market price for the ships at $600,000 less. It appears that some en bloc price discount was given to the tipped buyer, UK tanker player Union Maritime.

The sale comes only weeks after the Greek owner splashed out $92m en bloc for the India Steamship aframax quartet Ratna Shradha, Ratna Namrata, Ratna Shruti and Ratna Shalini.
