Vietnam launches its longest sea bridge construction

Ho Chi Minh City: Construction of Vietnam’s longest sea bridge, Tan Vu-Cat Hai Bridge, was launched over the weekend in Hai Phong.

The 15.6km sea bridge is expected to be complete by 2017 with more than VND11.8trn investment, including VND10trn funded from Japan.

The bridge project is a key part of Lach Huyen Port’s infrastructure. It will also connect developing areas east of Hai Phong with Lach Huyen Port, Dinh Vu Industrial Zone and the Hanoi – Hai Phong highway, according to the Ministry of Transport. [17/02/14]
