Viking Supply gets AHTS option and extension

Oslo: Sweden’s Viking Supply Ships has received the final option of an existing contract with Sakhalin Energy for the vessel AHTS Vidar Viking (built 2001), securing work for the AHTS icebreaker until 1st December 2015.

Further, Viking Supply Ships has entered into a new contract for the same ship a day later, with the same charterer Sakhalin Energy, for direct continuation of present contract. The duration of the new contract is for 8 months firm, plus options to extend the contract with a total of 6 months.

Viking Supply Ships has close to 8 AHTS and 5 PSVs in its fleet.
