Vodka-fuelled bunker barge master sentenced

A Polish master of a bunker barge has been fined £1,000 at a court in Belfast after he was found to be four times over the limit having taken a bottle of vodka onboard.

Patryk Tetzlaff, 38, refuelling a ferry when he was breathalysed on December 26 and found to be severely over the limit. He is due to head home to Poland where he could face further penalties.

Tetzlaff must pay the fine shortly or face 28 days in custody.
