Vroon offloads another MR

Troubled owner Vroon Group has just sold the Iver Exact, an eleven-year-old Hyundai Mipo-built MR tanker.

The ship is the third sale in a series of three.  Last year, the Dutch outfit offloaded the two 46,000 dwt Iver Example and Iver Express (both built 2007) MRs for about a million dollars more than this latest reported $14m sale.

Greece’s Spring Marine is tied to the purchase and appear to have done a good deal as VesselsValue sets the market level for the ships at $750,000 more.

Brokers also note that two months ago  the one year younger Phoenix MR was sold for $15m .

The purchase in an interesting move by the Greek owner as it’s the second ship it has bought in a couple of weeks. It recently took the 48,000 dwt Nord Intelligence (built 2010) for $16.5m.
