W Marine exercises kamsarmax option at Taizhou Kouan

Greek owner W Marine has exercised an option to build a 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulk carrier at Chinese yard Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding.

The option was attached to W Marine’s order for the construction of a 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulk carrier placed at the yard in February.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled in June 2020.

Founded in 2013 by Yiannis Sarantitis, W Marine currently operates a fleet of eight bulkers made up of three kamsarmaxes and five post panamaxes.
