Wagenborg converting PSV for Southern North Sea contract

Dutch owner Wagenborg is converting a platform supply vessel into a multipurpose offshore unit that will support subsea activities and decommissioning works in the Southern North Sea.

Wagenborg Offshore has sealed a long term deal with an energy major for the ship which will be retrofited within 34 weeks at the shipyard Royal Niestern Sander in Delfzijl.

The vessel will be equipped with an additional accommodation module for 20 people, an active heave compensated crane and also have an emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV) class C notation.

The ship will be renamed by the end of Q2 2023, after which it will commence its services on the Southern North Sea.
