Wah Kwong orders panamax pair at CSSC Chengxi

Hong Kong-based shipowner Wah Kwong has signed shipbuilding contracts with one of its regular yards, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, for the construction of two 82,000 dwt panamax bulk carriers.

The contract is financed by CMB Leasing and delivery is scheduled in 2020.

Wah Kwong, controlled by the Chao family, currently operates a fleet of 21 vessels made up of 15 bulkers and six tankers. It also has two ultramax bulkers under construction at DACKS.
