Shanghai: Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has secured options to build two Gusto MSC CJ50 jack-up platforms from Blue Ocean Drilling.
The contract is due to be signed within this month, with the two jack-ups due for delivery in the first and the third quarter in 2017.
Earlier this year, Blue Ocean Drilling ordered 2+2+2 Gusto MSC CJ46 and CJ50 jack-up platforms.
Currently, Waigaoqiao has 11 jack-up platform orders on hand, which will keep the shipyard busy till 2017. [14/10/14]
