Website gives owners 2020 vision on bunker supplies around the world

A new website has launched this week aimed at providing owners all they need to know with looming environmental regulatory changes coming up. www.2020planning.com gives owners an overview of suppliers plans pre and post the upcoming fuel sulphur cap.

Created by UK firm Nautical Supply International (NSI) the subscription-based portal features an interactive map where ports are marked and individual suppliers plans are documented for HSFO, LSFO 0.5%, ULSFO 0.1% and MGO.

NSI, one of the largest independent bunker brokers in the world, said in a release that it aims to use technology in simple and effective ways to add value to the bunker purchase process.

“The job of a broker is evolving with new tools available. We see our role as being innovative in our use of technology to increase the collaboration between different sectors of the market. This new tool represents part of what we see as the ‘new broking’,” NSI stated.
