Wei quits China Merchants Bank

Hong Kong: The board of directors of China Merchants Banks announced this weekend that the company had received a resignation letter from Wei Jiafu, the vice chairman of the board and non-executive director of the company, resigning his positions within the bank.

Wei retired as Cosco’s chairman in July this year. He owned 6.42% equity in China Merchants bank by the end of September and was the third largest shareholder of the bank. [18/11/13]
