Weihai Port president and CFO arrested for corruption

Weihai Port’s president Che Luming and CFO Zou Hongwei have been arrested by authorities for corrupt activities, Weihai Discipline Inspection Commission has announced.

Investigations done by authorities have found Che and Zou committed a series of illegal activities including taking bribes, abuse of power and embezzlement.

The two officials have been transferred to prosecutors for trial.

China is cracking down on corruption in state-owned port groups. In November, Li Wei, chief engineer of Tianjin Port turned himself in to the authorities for corruption.
