Westports willing to offer jv terminals to shore up business

Kuala Lumpur: In the wake of likely drop in throughput caused by the altered routings of the new P3 alliance of Maersk, MSC and CMA CGM, Malaysia’s Westports is willing to offer shipping lines a greater involvement in the recently listed Port Klang terminal.

“We won’t sell equity in the port but will welcome joint-venture terminals,” Westports founder and chairman G. Gnanalingam, 69, told the Malay Mail.  [29/11/13]
