Winson in for Greek chemical carrier

Taiwan’s tanker specialist Winson Shipping bought the 10,000 dwt chemical tanker Caliope (built 2005) for $8m. The vessel has been renamed Anger 30. The seller is Athens-based Lotus Shipping.

Winson has been busy in the secondhand market this year buying a handful of ships, including three MR tankers and two chemical tankers.

Founded in 1998 privately owned Winson has three main tiers of business: oil trading,  bunkering and storage and terminal facilities. The company has close to 20 ships in its fleet list.
