Winson takes second V-Max from Gener8 Maritime

Winson Shipping is doubling its VLCC fleet size, adding its second ship in less than a month brokers tell Splash.

Two weeks after it took the took its first VLCC, the V-Max design Genmar Vision for $28m from Gener8 Maritime, the Taiwanese outfit strikes again, taking the sister ship Genmar Victory for the same price.

The large cubic capacity of the 312,700 dwt V-Max design makes both ships ideal candidates for storage/conversion.
