Winson takes V-Max from Gener8 Maritime for ‘firm’ $28m

Clarksons Research is reporting Taiwan’s Winson Shipping has snapped up the 15-year-old, 312,640 dwt Genmar Vision from Gener8 Maritime for $28m. The V-Max design ship was bought for a storage/conversion project.

“Given recent activity, and the backdrop of falling prices, this looks to be a firm price,” Clarksons Research noted, suggesting the large cubic capacity was the reason – the V-Max design making the ship an “ideal candidate” for storage/conversion.
