Wisdom Marine diversifies with LPG buy

Taiwan’s Wisdom Marine has decided to branch out from its hard hit dry bulk mainstay.

Brokers report the company, with close to 100 bulkers in its fleet, has headed to Japan’s Murakami Hide Shipbuilding near Imabari to order a 7,500 cu m LPG carrier.

The Taiwanese line is believed to be paying in the region of $20.2m for its first gas carrier. No delivery date has been revealed.
