Taipei: Taiwanese bulk shipowner, Wisdom Marine Lines listed on the London Stock Exchange yesterday and became the largest Asian IPO by market capitalization in London this year.
Wisdom is the first company from the region to issue GDRs on to the London’s Main Market, according to London Stock Exchange.
Although listing on the London Stock Exchange is difficult, London is a finance center in Europe and an important shipping hub, so the listing will improve the reputation of Wisdom in international markets, the company said. [15/11/13]
