Wisdom Marine orders kamsarmax pair at Tsuneishi Zhoushan

Taiwanese bulker owner Wisdom Marine has approved a plan to order two 82,300 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers at Tsuneishi Zhoushan shipyard.

The price for each ship is $33m, and other details of the deal were not disclosed.

Wisdom Marine is currently in the middle of a fleet optimisation programme, having ordered two handymax bulker at Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding.

The company is also looking to dispose of more aging vessels this year.

Wisdom Marine currently owns a fleet of 129 vessels and has 12 newbuildings on its orderbook.
