Wisdom taps Onomichi for handy order

Taiwan’s Wisdom Marine has contracted Onomichi Dockyard in Japan to build a 37,000 dwt bulk carrier. The ship will cost $24m, Wisdom stated in a public disclosure on its site.
 
In a busy year of expansion for the Taiwanese shipping firm, Wisdom has also placed orders for two 82,300 dwt kamsarmax bulk carriers at Tsuneishi Zhoushan shipyard as well as a brace of 37,800 dwt bulk carriers at Imabari Shipbuilding. 
 
The shipping line has a total of 129 ships trading at the moment with another 13 on order.
