Wison awarded FRU contract

Shanghai: Wison Offshore & Marine announced that the company has been awarded an agreement with Vessel Gasification Solutions for the supply of a floating LNG regasification unit.

Wison will be responsible for the turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) of the unit and guide the project from its Shanghai operational centre, while its wholly-owned facility in Nantong will carry out the construction.

“We are very excited to be moving forward with VGS on this project and provide another innovative LNG facility to the market. The deal is a testament to our growing position in the industry as a trusted supplier of LNG facilities.” said L. Dwayne Breaux, president of Wison Offshore & Marine.

The FRU will be installed offshore India, moored approximately 8km offshore Andhra Pradesh on India’s eastern coast, alongside a permanent floating storage unit (FSU) that will be used as the LNG offloading point for trading tankers. [22/01/14]
