Wison expects FLNG option to be exercised next year

Shanghai: Wison Offshore & Marine is expecting to build a second FLNG for Belgian owner Exmar next year as the owner considers exercising its option.

According to Bart Lavent, Exmar’s managing director of infrastructure, the company is considering ordering another FLNG with 1m tonne per annum capacity for developing gas in Peru. The decision will be made next year.

The world’s first FLNG facility, Caribbean FLNG was undocked from the Wison drydock in Nantong in November and is about to be delivered to Exmar. [04/12/14]
