Wood Group wins long-term EPC deal off Canada

Wood Group has been awarded a five-year contract for engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services at the Hibernia platform, offshore Newfoundland, Canada.

The contract, with Hibernia Management and Development Company, includes two additional five-year extensions available to the customer.

Michele McNichol, CEO for Wood Group’s asset life cycle solutions business in the Western Hemisphere, said: “Since first oil in 1997, Wood Group has been the incumbent contractor for many of these services on the Hibernia platform. The first producing field of Canada’s East Coast, it has been a cornerstone of our business in the region.

“This new contract demonstrates the confidence this key client has in our team.”

Wood Group is already tied to two of the three production platforms located offshore Newfoundland with similar EPC contracts.
