Woodstreet sells MPP trio to Interunity

Brokers report that Woodstreet, controlled by Clearwater Marine and Viken Shipping, has sold off a trio of 34,000 dwt MPPs.

The sale of the 2011-built handysizes Pine 1, Pine 3 and Pine 5 has been finalise with Greek-German shipping outfit Interunity Management for $6m each. The ships have been renamed Athos, Porthos, Aramis.

The sale by Woodstreet comes weeks after three similar ships, Pine 2, Pine 4 and Pine 6, were reported as sold to Chinese interests, leaving the company with only seven ships according to shipping database Equasis.

Interunity Management’s fleet grows to 12 vessels with the acquisition, the MPPs joining five 5 chemical tankers, three LPG carriers and one container ship.
