Crane fall kills worker at Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding

Shanghai: A crane fall at Yangzhou Wanlong Shipbuilding has killed a female worker over the weekend.

The new crane has been recently put into operation, and was in the debugging process when the accident happened.

The worker was alive when rescued from the control room, but died during emergency treatment in hospital.

Local police have launched an investigation into the accident.

Only last week, two workers were killed by a falling ship block at Jiangnan Changxing Shipyard.
