World Wide Supply lays up two PSVs

Oslo: Oslo-listed World Wide Supply has announced that it is removing the World Diamond and World Pearl due to the very weak offshore spot market.

The two ships are currently trading spot in the North Sea after working with GdF for a couple of years since December 2013.

A total number of about 48 seamen will be given notice of termination, says a release.

World Wide Supply has a total of six identical PSVs in its fleet list, all contracted at Damen Shipyards Group in Holland.

The ships were ordered in 2011 and delivered in 2013.

The company has operations in Norway, the Netherlands and Brazil.

World Wide Supply has still four ships in the water, all on long term contracts with Petrobras in Brazil until June 2018.
