Worley awarded Mad Dog contract by BP

Australia’s Worley has been awarded a contract by BP for hook-up and commissioning integration services at the Mad Dog 2 project and the Argos deep-water platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Under the contract Worley will prepare for the arrival of the Argos floating production unit in the Gulf of Mexico and complete final systems commissioning in Texas, offshore hook-up at the Mad Dog field and handover of the platform to BP.

“Worley is looking forward to supporting BP’s North American strategy through the integration of this new asset into BP’s production fleet in the Gulf of Mexico,” said Andrew Wood, CEO of Worley.

The Argos FPU is currently under construction at South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries and scheduled to be commissioned in 2021.
