Worst of the downturn over: Emarat Maritime
Dubai: Every Friday our sister site Maritime CEO interviews a shipowner. Giving GulfShip News readers a sneak peak of tomorrow’s exclusive ahead of the weekend, today we carry excerpts from our interview with Captain Jitendra Misra (pictured). The well-known managing director of Dubai-based Emarat Maritime has no plans to order new ships at the moment. Emarat has eight bulkers and six tankers at present. Misra said the worst of the downturn was over but it would take “some time” before the markets get back to satisfactory levels.
