{"id":209017,"date":"2024-07-02T20:19:16","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T12:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/splash247.com\/?p=209017"},"modified":"2024-07-02T20:22:19","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T12:22:19","slug":"purus-eyes-ammonia-and-hydrogen-fsos-with-bluewater-tie-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/splash247.com\/purus-eyes-ammonia-and-hydrogen-fsos-with-bluewater-tie-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Purus eyes ammonia and hydrogen FSOs with Bluewater tie-up"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>UK-based diversified shipowner Purus has partnered up with floater specialist Bluewater Energy Services to provide floating storage and offloading (FSO) solutions for low-carbon ammonia, clean hydrogen and carbon capture utilisation and storage markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The alliance seeks to address the distribution challenges of low-carbon fuels through the application of bespoke floating offshore storage terminals, or so-called clean energy FSOs, which the companies say can offer greater flexibility and speed-to-market than conventional onshore storage tanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The duo said they will combine their capabilities to provide engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning works required to deliver low-carbon cryogenic cargo floaters, including the subsequent operations and maintenance needed to unlock long-term access to new markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;With this alliance, Purus is now able to provide our customers with an end-to-end floating pipeline solution for energy transition cargoes, including international maritime transport, floating storage, FSO-to-shore, breakbulk services and inland barging,&#8221; the Julian Proctor-led company, with investments in LNG, LPG, ammonia and ethane carriers, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Bluewater, the clean energy FSO business adds to the company&#8217;s fleet of five FPSOs, with two available for redeployment, and renewables projects portfolio as part of the plan to optimise its offshore solutions, &#8220;including fleet renewal in the new energy era&#8221;. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UK-based diversified shipowner Purus has partnered up with floater specialist Bluewater Energy Services to provide floating storage and offloading (FSO) solutions for low-carbon ammonia, clean hydrogen and carbon capture utilisation and storage markets.
