Xiamen Shipbuilding inks financing deal with China Development Bank

Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry (XSI) has announced that it has signed a financing agreement with China Development Bank (CDB).

Under the agreement, CDB will provide RMB360m ($54m) financing to support XSI’s construction of wind turbine installation vessels.

In August 2015, XSI signed shipbuilding contracts with local investment firm Xiamen Fuchuan Investment for the construction of a wind turbine installation vessel.

The order, which includes an option for an additional vessel, is the first wind turbine installation vessel order received by XSI.
